MDB at The National Hotel, Block Island in June 2016

There is a very good reason why I keep going back to The National Hotel on Block Island (this is my 19th year performing at The National). In short, it is magic. For me, it is a home. An inspiring space (I have written so many songs in the bunk house behind the hotel: Sorting Out What Happened in the Night, Another Song, Bottom of The Bottle, This is What I Call Fun, Blue Wave, The Road To Shell and Sand, My Mistakes, Passing Through and so many more). The Hotel is one of America's grand structures and there is no finer view than that of the Old Harbor from the hotel's front porch. Also, it would be hard to find a finer staff than those that work at The National. I hope you can make it at some point this summer (I will performing various weekends throughout July and August) I will look for you there.
