Further.....

I hope you are doing well and feeling fine. Things here are rolling along and there is a lot to talk about. Summer is saddling up and making its slow ride out. Fall is at the gate. However, now is the time of year to break up with your summer fling at the Labor Day bar-b-que. But first a moment to reflect.

It was a fine couple of months, with lots of laughs. The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival was a big highlight for me. It was a Woodstokian three days, most of which is just now getting sorted out. I met hundreds of people all with songs on their mind. It was a real battery charger. We are currently sorting through the debris and will be posting our pictures and stories here.

"Second Chance" was recently added to the playlist of some very cool radio shows, including The Acoustic Cafe' on 91.1 FM, WUMA at UMASS, AMHERST, and "La Otra Musica," a folk music show that originates out of Cadiz, Spain.

My friend and Hayloft photographer Kim Mitchell was included in a collection of photos entitled 'Candid Captures." I was the subject of the photo, so this is my modeling debut. In accordance with this new facet of my show-biz career, I will only be drinking bottled water and reading Vouge. We believe you can purchase this book at Photo.com.

For those of you keeping track, my first CD "Further on Tomorrow" is now a collectors item. We are officially sold out (the last few went to Amazon.com) and won't be re-printing with the old artwork, but rather, a plan has been hatched to re-package the CD and include some other songs that I recorded at that time with new artwork and liner notes. For those of you who purchased "Further On..." thanks again.

The word on the street is that my old compadres in THOSE GUYS down in North Florida are planning to cut a song that Dave Beasley and I wrote together called "Complicated World." This excites me and I am cooking up a way to be there to play on the session. This is a very cool band.
Speaking of cool bands, my brothers and friends in The DesBerardos have been making the scene at a few shows at the Bitter End in NYC. The crowds have been capacity and the shows have been a blast. We are planning another show on Wed, Sept, 26th with an incredible group from Dublin, Ireland called The Stand. Check in with Dramatic Cowboy Chris at DesBerardo.com for details and other tid-bits.

I should mention that the Traveling Songwriter's Show with K.J. Denhert, Artie Tobia and Chris Brown at the Hudson River Museum (Sept 28th) is the first in what we hope to be a short tour of shows in some alternate performance enviorments. The whole thing was dreamed up by my old friend, Artie Tobia, who, consequently just released a great new CD entitled "The Parade," enginered by our own Pete Szymanski. I sincerely hope you can support us by showing up. It will be a special night of songs. You will not regret it.

As for me, I have been holed up at the Mondo Pond, while I awaite the delivery of a new, monster computer, that will tackle all of these technical, web page issues so that things can be updated faster, with lots of photos and all of the cool little bells and whistles that we all love. It won't be long before I have this whole thing figured out. (or will it?). More Later.... and directions to The Hudson Museum.
