I will be performing as a finalist for the second year in the prestigious Plowshares Song Contest. This is one of those nationally recognized song honors that make me feel like a real dandy when hobnobing with the folk and song crowd. The showcase night will take place in Phoenixville, PA on March 12. The show will be headlined by the great Cliff Eberhardt
(one of my songwriting/ guitar heroes) and will include some very fine talent. The songs that were selected: JUST ONE and THE RUM DIARY are both from my CD " As You Make Your Way." (Once again, high fives to Prof. Dick Neal and Pete Szymanski for thier work on the CD.) It is a very nice feeling when songs that you made up, get recognized and singled out. I thank you for your support and encouragement.

We have begun work on a brand new CD of original songs. I will be working with a new record company and fancy management. All of these people get to their appointments on time, make keen obsevations in a concise and thoughtful manner, and for the most part, conduct themselves like grownups. This will be new for me, this particular brand of "music business."
The late Frank Zappa once observed: "Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." The good Doctor Hunter S. Thompson points out that: "The Music Business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There is also a negative side."

I look forward to working with my new business "partners." More on all of this later.
