Welcome.
Here is the thing. I taught myself to play the guitar. It came fairly easy to me. When I say easy, I mean that it took years of trial and error and thousands of hours locked away trying to make a good noise on my instrument. In recent years, I have found that the more I came to understand the instrument, the more I realized that I taught myself some bad habits that could have easily been avoided. Now, I am not saying that there is a right or wrong way to do anything related to music. There are a lot of ways. But, if someone had stopped me and showed me just a few things, I would have gotten to where I wanted to go a whole lot quicker.
Given all of this hindsight, I recently decided that I would like to have a crack at passing on what I know about the guitar and how to get a song out of it . That being said, I am offering 1/2 hour or 1 hour (depending on the level we are at) lessons that are designed to get you going actually playing songs! I welcome beginners (as in no experience necessary, low pressure, slow pace), and for those who are already playing, we can get into more advanced ideas and approaches. Also, if you are looking to get into the performance aspect of playing, I can help you prepare a song or songs to play in public at your own gig , open mic, wedding or just to impress your Mom.
